So, Who Are You (And What Are You Doing Here)?

If I asked you to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?

Would you list five different words (creative, entrepreneur etc) or would you make up a sentence (as in – more than you can handle)?

Who do you see when you look in the mirror? Have you ever had that feeling of staring into the mirror and not really recognising that person looking back? Maybe it feels as if you’re looking at yourself through the eyes of another – like a past life – or maybe you feel lost right now and you can’t connect?

What do you think people’s perception of you are? What do you believe is their first impression? Is it accurate? Is it what you think they think or is it true?

What would your closest friends say about you if they were asked? What would your enemies say?

Does it even matter?

What were the things that you loved, that brought you joy, when you were younger? Do they hold the same importance to you now? Or have you forgotten? Sometimes, when I feel like I don’t know what I want – or what I’m doing – I go back and try to remember what it is I have always loved, because sometimes we get caught up in the things we think we should be doing, and not what we really want to do.

What are the experiences that have shaped you? What are the lessons you have learned?

Do you know what your purpose is? Do you know if you’re a creator, a teacher, an entrepreneur, a healer, a hero? Or something else entirely?

Are you following your own rules or following those of another?

Are you on a journey to discover more about who you are or are you running from that? What are the things you tell yourself on a daily basis? Are they negative or positive? Do you beat yourself down or pick yourself up? Are they even fair?

Sometimes, when we strip everything else away and we stand there naked (physically or metaphorically) we can really begin to see the true person within. Who you are. And I’m thinking that whoever that is, is pretty damn special, has a lot to give and is worthy of great things.

The thing is, when you know who you are – really are – when you can stand steadfast in your convictions, nothing can blow you down. After all, when you go to sleep at night, the last voice you hear is your own.

So, do you know WHO YOU ARE and WHOSE GAME you are playing?

Did you answer the questions with total honesty? I’m sure there are a lot more. And maybe some are harder to answer than others. Still, I want you to write out who you are, and then who you want to be.

Are they one and the same?
