Have you discovered the power of Tumblr yet?
In a world where Facebook and even Twitter seem to rule for engagement AND advertising, Tumblr takes an undeserved back seat, and is an often overlooked tool for business.
I’m not sure what your perception of Tumblr is? Maybe you consider it a place just to post up some pretty pictures or gifs, or random videos and memes. And I’m not saying you’re wrong, because it most definitely can be used for this. But in this lies it’s beauty.
On one hand Tumblr is an escapist community. A place to go and scroll for hours. (On average Tumblr users spend 14 minutes on average per day, with Facebook coming in second at 12 minutes*)
But it’s a little more than that. It’s a place for real connections, to find things that resonate, to have shared experiences. And those who advertise on here (Tumblr introduced in-stream sponsored posts in back in 2013, with more than 300 paid advertisers) know this and are using it to their advantage.

So how do you get people on your list? There are functions that enable you to have people sign up to your email list (such as Aweber integrations) which allow you to post a link to your main sign up page in your sidebar ( or you can post a custom code from your web form’s HTML).
The more you post shareable content the more mileage you get from it. With Tumblr’s reblogging feature, other people can republish your posts. And the best bit about this? – Your sign up link will enjoy some extra exposure throughout ‘the world of Tumblr.’
And by keeping your content short, sweet (or not so sweet whatever your preference) and consistent you’ll receive more traffic, more shares and more subscribers.
Sounds like a good deal to me?
