The West heard stories of The Great Wall of China long before laying eyes upon it.
Initially, these tales were modest, but soon they transformed into wondrous stories of a grand wall akin to that of legend!
The truth is, most of the 20,000 kilometres of wall does not look like the segments you see in tourism brochures or on Google. Much of it is constructed from mud and straw rather than brick or stone. It is has been worn down by sandstorms. No, you can not see it from space.
And it is not a single wall, but composed of many sections crafted over an extended period of time.
But that’s what makes it strong.
We should all be like The Great Wall.
We are powerful. We are able. But alone, we are not living up to our true potential.
We must surround ourselves with those who fortify what we stand for.
Those who have weathered the storm.
Those who are fresh and eager.
Those as strong as stone.
Or as flexible as straw.
They support us with knowledge and experience we have not yet faced. They reinforce us against the horde of naysayers and competitors who hope to destroy us.
It is that which makes us great.
