Artists are often told that inspiration can be found all around them, but very few can say they’ve taken advantage of it as well as Finnish-born, LA-based writer Adele Enersen.
Starting in 2010, Enersen started to photograph her children – first daughter Mila, and later son Vincent – as they napped. She then began entering additional elements into the scene, either physically, or by sketching.
After gathering a formidable following on Social Media (her Facebook page currently has over 82,000 fans) she began producing children’s books with the images. When My Baby Sleeps was translated into eight languages, while Vincent and the Night became Amazon’s Book of the Month for babies in April 2015.
Enersen has since given up her job as an advertising content designer and copywriter to focus on her writing. She is currently working on her fourth book, and written a short horror film that was produced in her native Finland.
