About the Work:
Those familiar with the cyberpunk aesthetic of such films an TV shows as Blade Runner 2049 and Altered Carbon will instantly recognise the inspiration for artist Steve Roe’s spellbinding images of Seoul’s neon nightlife.
The psychedelic effect is created through the use of a fractal filter, which allows Roe to manipulate the image as he takes it. The result is dynamic, vibrant, yet nevertheless manages to bring the focus back on its human subjects.
Roe is still developing his style, but this latest work has got us very excited to see what comes next for this young artist.
