Amongst our great achievements, we also undeniably live in a world of consumerism and waste. What was once new and exciting, becomes worthless trash at increasing rates.

VHS tapes were once the stock standard in home entertainment. Big, bulky, and fragile, they were soon replaced, several times over. But where is all the remaining VHS tape?

Artist Zilvinas Kempinas, based in New York, has a lot of it. The artist’s 80-foot-long art walkway was created using stretched strips of VHS tape to make the installation titled “Tube”.
