He is PC. He is Mac. Fundamentally different, but united as the two minds that brought home computing to the world.

So it was that in May 2007 (only a month before the release of the first iPhone), Steve Jobs and Bill Gates came togetherĀ for a 90 minute discussion at the D5 Conference.

At the time, it was hard to believe. The competition between companies was fierce, but it was the clash between the two men that the industry knew best. Jobs thought Gates was unoriginal and dull, while Gates considered Jobs a self-important loser.

We don’t see much of that rivalry here, but what we do get is a meeting of the mind unlike few others. Whether tech is your industry or not, we can all learn a lot from the video below.
